MY CITY PORTO with SARA SAMPAIO

MOOD

The shoots alternate between aesthetic compositions carefully framing the city and more “casual/espontaneous” shots following Sara

Funny shots and details composition

Exploring the city

Take advantage of the light in the evening and also the night light of the city, showing Porto as an outstanding beautiful city.

We can also use some front light for a specific funny moment.

B ROLL

Besides the main footage, we can use a second camera to collect some B-roll. This will give us some extra material for a dynamic editing.

(something like I used on this video, but in colors)

SCRIPT

The day starts at the beach in Leça da Palmeira. Sara talks about his connection with the ocean, something that someone who lives there feels for sure.

In case she can´t surf (which will proabably be difficult), she can just go for a walk on the beach and then some playfull situations in the sand and near the sea.

ALTERNATIVE BEGINNING

We start in Estádio do Dragão where she welcomes the viewer to Porto.

First she starts to talk about his football passion while touring around the stadium.

Them some shots in the center of the field where she looks around and then probably she tries to make some football tricks with a ball. She realizes that she´s not that skilled.

We are at Casa de Serralves. A stunning Art Déco house from the 30s thats is an iconic artistic place in Porto. We also explore the garden that surrounds the house.

(This location allows us to do very aehstetics and shots.)

-

Arriving at Arquinho do Castelo, one of Sara´s favourite restaurants, we realize that she nows the staff there. She´s a regular costumer.

While eating she talks about the Porto food culture.

-

At Bridge D. Luis, Sara shows us the beautiful view we can take to the city and Douro river.

She walks over the bridge and talks about both boths sides of the river: Porto + Gaia.

Sara walks throw Jardim do Morro just next the bridge. A place where you can seat and watch the sunset with an amazing Porto landscape.

Then she gets the elevator down the hill on his way to riverside in Gaia, where she finds the iconic boats.

She asks to someone take her to the other side of the river in the boat. We cross the river on a typical boat.

We arrive at Porto side of the river - Ribeira

-

We go up the hill in the way to Baixa, showing the Porto streets.

Arriving at Baixa, Sara goes to Base, a chill/garden bar in the heart of Porto, surrounded with beautiful and typical Porto buildings and architecture. We can see Torre dos Clérigos (iconic Porto monument) just on the side.

She seats on the garden, chilling having a drink and talking about the advantage of leaving/visiting a place like Porto - how it is a safe and friendly city.

-

From there we walk in the direction of Brasão, the restaurant where we will find the most iconic meal in Porto: Francesinha.

Its a very “heavy” meal, not proper for a model, but she can´t avoid it each time she comes to Porto.

-

After dinner, we go out and cross Baixa do Porto, where we can feel the nighlife in Porto.

We are on our way to Aliados, the main avenue in Porto, and a special place in the city with a very special feeling to someone who loves football.

Its the heart of the city, and Sara talks about is passion about his hometown.

OPCIONAL IDEA - TUNA ACADEMICA

Porto has also a strong connection with the academic life.

We just remember to do something funny with the academic band. It can be a really interresting moment having them singing for Sara.

Please take a look at the videos below.

Praça dos Leoes (the location below) is the tradicional place where they get together.

They have this traditional clothes with a black cape that we can use to make some funny shots with Sara (for example apperaring behind the capes) and then they can sing her a serenade.
